About Civic Tech Moncton

Civic Tech Moncton is a volunteer association dedicated to using technology to address community challenges. We bring together individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds to collaborate on projects that benefit the Moncton community.

Volunteer Participation

• Volunteer Role: Volunteering with Civic Tech Moncton is a voluntary activity. No compensation is provided for participation.
• Code of Conduct: Volunteers are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct. This includes treating all participants with respect, acting professionally, and contributing constructively.
• Project Participation: Volunteers may participate in projects based on their interests and skills. Project leads will provide guidance and direction.
• Intellectual Property: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any work created by volunteers as part of a Civic Tech Moncton project may be subject to an open-source license or other agreement determined by the project team. Individual contributors retain ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property they bring to a project.
• Liability: Volunteers acknowledge that they participate at their own risk. Civic Tech Moncton is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our activities, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
