I’m Shannon, and I help coordinate Civic Tech Moncton, a volunteer group that uses technology, design and data to solve real problems in our community. We are not a startup, We are not a government agency. We are people, we are volunteers from diverse backgrounds who show up every week using technology to build something that matters. You might be coder, You could be a designer, a data person or a policy thinker, or maybe you’re just someone who’s deeply rooted in community and wants to give back. If you care about making Moncton better, we’d love to meet you. We work with the local non-profts and civic leaders that are making a difference here. And of course, we work with each other and we do it all in the open. Everyone is welcome. There is no membership fees, there’s no gatekeeping, just collaboration with your peers.
